What size is the oval opening for LT1 TB's?
I wanted to get a new silicone hose to replace the regular hose that my procharger kit came with for the front of the throttle body so I wanted to know what size round hose I can get for it for any of you who have already done this? I measured it across horizontally and think I got 4", so I would have to get smaller so when it flattens vertically it won't be too big horizontally correct? And also will a t-bolt clamp make the oval shape or does it not work too well for that because of the guides near the bolt section of the clamp? I'd hate to buy a new hose just to have a crappy hose clamp dig into it and ruin it. thanks

Re: What size is the oval opening for LT1 TB's?
I used a 3" to 4" reducer coupler for my 3" piping to throttle body. I modified a t-bolt clamp to make the throttle body's oval shape. Not all t-bolt camps are the same but mine had a "sleeve" where the bolt is that I removed. Also, make sure you find a long coupler. The first coupler I bought was too short so the transition to the oval was deformed and didn't go all the way around the TB.

Posting this for future google searchers...I took this measurement last night and went searching to see if anyone had success using the style coupler that Ralls used.
I used a fabric tape measure and got 12.25" outside perimeter on a OEM 95 throttle body. Using that as the circumference I got a circular diameter of 3.8993" or about 99mm. The ID for 4" silicone couplers is often listed as 102mm.
in 2022 ebay has 3" to 4" 3 ply silicone adapters for about $11 with t-bolt clamps, $8 without clamps. 4 ply may be more, closer to $20 with clamps.

The Fernco 3”x3” sewer pipe connector (part #1056-33) is about $8 at big box stores, including two stainless worm clamps. Fits well, but goes on easier if heated in hot water for a few minutes.

The coupling is actually fairly thick. The clamps are contained in deep grooves. But it softens enough in hot water that it will stretch as you push it on to the throttle body. And once it cools it takes a set and forms a nice oval that fits tight, but is easy to remove and replace. When I bought that coupling 20 years ago, it cost less than $5.
The 3” in the coupler description refers to the inside diameter of the plain-end sewer pipe it is used to connect. The ID of the coupler is larger than 3”. But I never measured it.
Side view: (I have a 3” filler piece where the MAF sensor should be, because the engine runs speed-density, via a MoTeC M48Pro engine management system.)
