I changed to the LT4 sensor to help with the noisy valve train. I also assumed my exhaust was a possibility. When installing headers I drove the car with none and got readings on my datalog

The LT4 knock module helped ALOT on my car for false knock. Noticed alot of false readings when the 1.6 RR went in. ECM was pulling my WOT timing from 40 to about 26 (before blower install). Also noticed more knock readings with the cutouts open, but unsure if it was false knock or not. Later, I put in a Scanmaster with the blower setup, so when i see that KR jump from 0, I back off the throttle and assume its actual knock.

I want to add to this...
I asked this question because I was getting knock.
After looking at the datalogs, I came to the realization it wasnt false knock but real knock that occurred on a hard run, hot day at 5100 rpm, 11 psi boost, on a stock bottom end 93 lt1. There was a 'poof' of smoke and a 'pop' noise, along with the sinking feeling of sudden loss of power (as the piston is trying to get pushed back the other way).
This occurred because my methanol system malfunctioned and shut down. Due the noise of the engine, I couldnt hear its warning buzzer either (or else I would have gotten off the throttle).
Luckily it doesnt appear that there are any permanent effects. (fingers crossed).
