Exclamation Paging mzgp5x

What's up? Getting ready to make the plunge on a gz setup and I see you are running an UD pulley on your setup. What size is that pulley and is it a March? Do you happen to know the part number? I'm gonna have to go a similiar route as your setup minus your custom bracket for the pump. Thanks for any help.

Silas,

Re: Paging mzgp5x

I use the 5.5 inch PD pulley (V-belt type) from the GZMS web store. I also used the GZMS " SB chevy crank pulley. I had to mod the crank drive slightly for my app. I do not know how you are going to mount the GZ pump other than how I approached the solution keeping all the stock acc drive component location.

The 5.5" pulley to 2" drive is good for street applications for 1/3 atm vac. I followed the GZMS reccomendation on their site.
I also looked @ the surpintine drive, but an 8" pulley was very large and I could not package this drive into the engine bay.

The GZ pump I have is a VP103. They don't make that anymore, but, GZ said a VP104N has the same fitting location and pump body. Fittings are on the sides, not on the rear/ front.

What kind of vac regulator will you use?

Good luck with your app. B.

Re: Paging mzgp5x

Thanks for the info! Going to be using Ralls custom bracket using the stock accessory bracket. The 5.5" UD pulley along w/ the pulley on the GZ VP101A will do the trick. I'll be using the Star machine regulator.

You aren't running a single groove UD pulley are you? All I see on their website with your reference is the CP100A.

Re: Paging mzgp5x

The pulley is a single "A" section V-belt. Not a surpentine type 6 or 8 groove. Drive is directly off the crankshaft. B.

So CP100A is the right part number? I'll have to call them monday and see what they've got.
