P600b Qustions and Dryer Hose

OK..... getting ready to slide motor back under the car after a rebuild. Since I have motor sitting on K member in a wide open space I figured now is the time to address the dryer hose.

I'm having troubles finding an elbow that will work in the confined space..... what are you using for this problem??

Also.... I see people getting some pretty good boost numbers out of these P600's.... I can't seem to get above 10PSI.... I'm running 8" pulley on bottom and 2.65 on top.... Are you guy's seeing different numbers??

Thanks!!

Dude, your setup is my twin. I just slid my engine in last weekend, and your dyno numbers give me hope!

I haven't found anything- Vortec I believe makes an elbow..but I haven't looked too much into it as I plan on ditching the 600b and going with a T76 hopefully soon.

Also keep in mind the steering shaft is kinda close through there too- but the corner of the block was my biggest hurdle.

I run the powerdyne elbow on my p600... It's better the the orange dryer hose...but I think a custom 4" pipe would be better ......not really going to mess with , I want to switch to a 76mm

I'm still using the orange heater hose. Ugly, but haven't had the time or desire to switch it out.

Re: P600b Qustions and Dryer Hose

Here is a link for an adapter that I used by the recommendation of some of the guys on here. It is a temporary fix for me until I get some more free time to fab up one out of metal.

http://intakehoses.com/Merchant2/mer...gory_Code=CHEW

A couple of people here have made a custom elbow from 4" straight tubing that is cut at heavy angles and welded together. If you search for "intake elbows" you should eventually come up with the thread.

OK.... this is what I ended up going with.... http://www.racepartsolutions.com/products.asp?cat=112

I purchased part # RUB-2904035 (Rub- Cobra)

Not exactly what I thought it was going to be..... It was fairly "soft" so I reinforced it prior to installation. This worked out very nice.

Come hell or high water, I was going back with the dryer hose. I had the motor out and on the K member.... not a better time to address this.

Have not had a chance to see if there has been any performance gains since I'm still sneaking up on the tune with my new build..... heads and intake were the biggest changes..... I've heard people say the have seen a 2 PSI increase..... I have a hard time believing that though!!
