New Hotside ... :)

Here we go...

No A/C but hot side exits on the Passenger side. Wastegate dumps into the down pipe so no telltale 'whooshhh!' noise when the gate opens.
Lovin' it!

Thanks Realquick!

Re: New Hotside ... :)

Nice. You planning to have it all coated before it goes in the car?

Looks really familiar Good stuff as always Jon! Can't wait to see the new combo Dave. I am not traveling for work this week, so drop me a text if you want to get together some night this week.

Sorry, no. Just rain and too many commitments around the house at the moment. Can't wait to put it all on.
Thanks,

You better hurry up before it gets too cold to do anything other than sleep.

Leave Dave alone - he's the only guy still working on an LT1 blower car...

Not the only one. I just need more money. And time. And motivation.

Re: New Hotside ... :)

Hahaha.. hey guys. I could start working on that aspect but I'm still tweaking my SD 2 bar tune. The car is so much more responsive and crisp in acceleration now. I'm slowing getting the WOT/High RPM AFR right. I'm also getting all the knock retard out too. I only get a single instance of it at 4,575 rpm and 95 Absolute KPA.

I took it for a couple of tuning evaluations yesterday, trying to do what I could before the effects of Hurrican Sandy arrive. It sure is a thrill to drive the car now. I'm on tune iteration number 33 lol. The beauty of the tune is that w/o MAF and w/o O2 feedback in an open loop SD tune, on the freeway at 75mph in sixth gear, the WB reports 14.5 to 14.7 AFR. But it's the crispness of the throttle between idle and 5,000 rpm that is so noticable over the old MAF tune. If it doesn't snow soon, I may have a chance to put on the new hotside.
