LT1 Boost news

Well,

I am going to be moving from my current workspace to a new space. My current workspace is 20 minutes from my home. I am purchasing a house in Freetown, MA that has a nice unattached 1080 sq ft garage (36 x 30 three car garage). I will be using this for my shop, so I can work at home into the wee hours of the night . The house also has an attached 2 car garage

I will be out of service (not building any kits) from now until 8/1/11. Still taking orders, just don't expect any progress until August.

I also just lowered some of the prices on my webpage.

Re: LT1 Boost news

Jon-

Let me know when you've got some free time later in July. I want to get my car better tuned and dyno'd at a place in the Albany area and was thinking it'd be awesome if we got you there with your car and dave there as well to have a good time and perhaps take some photos or something.

My latest work this weekend (one of the things I wanted to talk to you about) turned out okay so far...

I think the driver's side exhaust gasket blew out, but else she's doing pretty good!

Re: LT1 Boost news

Looks good. What did you have to do to mount the gauges there?

Re: LT1 Boost news

I had the boost and fuel pressure in the pillar, but decided that attracted too much attention, which gave me the idea.

I pretty much just pulled the surround out, measured about where I wanted the gauges to be (using a piece of PVC pipe which is just about a perfect fit!) and then dremeled the plastic, bondo'd 2" long pieces of PVC into place, sanded it till it looked 'ok', tried to lightly texture it and painted it matte black with a little clearcoat over it. There's plenty of room for the backside of the gauges around the stock cluster and any necessary wiring. Realistically it took two afternoons to do with a little thinking ahead of time.

I just need to turn the chrome bezels black and I'll call it done. It works pretty well with the gauge overlay too.

Re: LT1 Boost news

I'm digging your gauge setup. However, 1 thing i intend on changing down the road on my setup: having the wideband and boost gauge next to each other on the cowl. Its impossible to watch both with my setup, and my car is retard slow compared to some of the monsters you guys have built.

Re: LT1 Boost news

Well, supposed to close today, but the town does not have a record of the deed for the property. Sucks... might have to bail on the house and keep looking. This means I am staying in the current shop until i find something.
