Installing BMR Tubular K-member for extra Turbo Hotside Clearance, not...

So I'm finally installing my LT1 Fbody BMR Tubular K-Member after waiting 10 months. I'm all by myself but I'm blowin' an goin' and in no time, the stock K-Member is out. I put them beside each other and take a picture so I can post a 'Out with the old, in with the new!' story. But... when I go to put the BMR on... clank. ... It's hitting something. WT? Oh man.. the drivers side motor mount is hitting the crossover on my hotside and its not just in the way a little. Sigh.. so, I clean up the stocker and start putting it in. Then the rain starts.. Lol... perfect.... Oh well. Any one want a brand new, never (fully) installed LT1 Fbody BMR Kmember for $200? Prefer local sale/pickup. I'm going to put it in the classifieds tomorrow. I'm near Albany, NY.

Forgot to update this thread... sorry. I cut the crossover pipe up, rerouted and rewelded it. The BMR is installed and working great.

Jon @ LT1Boost and I ran into this exact issue on my car too. Good to hear you got it taken care of.

Hmm I just received my BMR K-member (KM002) Hope it fits in my application. It's the one Jon recommended for me though when I asked him so I'm sure it will be ok

The extra access for plug changes is great. Just all around a good change. The only thing I like about the stock piece is jacking the car up in one step. Now, I have to jack up one side, then the other. Not a deal breaker though.
Congrats on your new mod!

Is your car at stock height Dave? Just wondering, I've never been able to lift mine via the K member unless I drove it onto some boards first (even with the stock k member).

BMR K on mine as well.

Yes, mines at stock height. One of the first mods back in the day (right after I bought the car new in Nov, 95) was Eibachs. Loved the look immensely. Shortly after that, I added hooker long tubes. They scraped on tall ants after that. I took them off and went to Moroso Drag springs. They helped my launches but the handling in turns was 'fun'.

Now I'm back on stock springs and shocks. I too, use 2x4's to get the front end up enough to the the floor jack under the front.

Sounds like a plan. If you get a chance, take a picture of the bracket and post it here. I might buy one from your bud if it works well for you.
Thanks,
