I wouldn't do it if I were you. Your compression is to high for pump gas and the detonation will kill your stock hypercraptic pistons. You would be better off with a 100 shot of juice IMO.

Re: 97 z28 turbo help

Pull the rods and pistons and replace with quality forged parts, beef up your fuel system, buy and learn how to use tuning software and buy gauges, etc. Couple thousand dollars no doubt.
Guys run a 100 shot on stock motors all the time with the right supporting mods.
AS your car sits it is more likely to grenade from boost then nitrous.

Re: 97 z28 turbo help

What other supporting mods should i do for spray? Do i need to upgrade the fuel rails at all? My fuel pump is a walbro 255.. i should prob invest in an air/fuel meter before i do.. am only wanting to run a 75 shot to play it safe lol not really greedy on power

Re: 97 z28 turbo help

I'd run a 340 pump along with a Racetronix hotwire kit. I'd also toss in a set of 50 lb injectors because "I'm only going to run xx shot to be safe" doesn't last. Also, invest in a wide band O2 unit instead of an A/F gauge. Most of those gauges simply read the stock narrow band sensors and aren't much more than a light show. They're also highly annoying/distracting.

You might also consider doing the 24x conversion instead of the OBD1 swap. Tuning options are much better.
