I am changing the pulley set up from a 80 crank 40 Blower to a 36 blower or a 34 blower depending on the belt situation. The blower isn't spinning fast enough. I hope this will add another 3-5lbs of boost.
I was only seeing 11.5-12lbs of boost on the FAST. This was with 24* of timing and a 11.6-11.8 AF as well on C-16.

How is that cog on the M6? I've been contemplating that for years. Always heard it was bad for the blower? ATI has a sprag pulley system out now but that's some coin too. Just on the fence what to do. That a custom bracket for is all that from ATI? Looks good man!

The shifter looked familiar to me, and said "automatic".... the red cylinder on the lever in front of the shift lever is the reverse lockout release.... like the one I have on the B&M ratchet shifter on my TH400.

The car is an Auto now. The 6 speed was to hard on parts and the car wasn't fun.
I installed an 80/36 tooth combo on the car now I hope to pick up a few more PSI and HP by doing so. The size difference is pretty big side by side.
The bracket and Cog-Drive is from House of Boost and it is a very well made setup, no cheap **** like Procharger sells.

Thanks,
I did see the photos you had on the other site and got some idea what it is. I like that drive kit you installed - that one you have looks pretty tough on there.

There's no give or slip with cog drives. When you run them with a manual transmission you tend to wear out or strip the teeth off the belts much faster than with an auto. It's also rougher on the guts of the supercharger. And those kevlar belts aren't cheap either. A good one will run you $80+.
Only overheating problem I ever had with my CSI pump was from trying to jump someone's dead truck. Car did not like being held at a high idle for more than a few minutes and puked a little water from the overflow.

I too have a 97 SS 383ci w/ F1A Procharger/ MM6. Did my own mount bracket and belt tensioner mechanism. I run a 12 rib 42 inch. No slip. At least 12 psi. I also went to Hse of Boost for parts. Had to cancel and go to Procharger direct for an offset 3.4 inch pulley. Machined it to fit with a very low cantilever crank drive. Belt alignment is critical for an efficient drive. I will never go back to Hse of Boost. Much better customer service with direct Procharger contact. Maybe a little more cash, but, I'm OK with it. Now I machine all my own mount brackets. Alum or steel does not matter. It is quite difficult to package all that stuff in a 4th gen motor compartment.
Most of my former friends tell me I've gone to far, but, I'd rather have my modded 97SS than a 69 Olds 442 for $42k. Much better performance. B.
