Wow!!! I haven't been here in ages. Been busy getting my photography business off the ground so I haven't done the car thing in ages. I do remember Jenny tho. I'm SO sorry to hear about your health situation. I remember talking to you in a number of posts and I always thought you were a such a sweetheart. I hate finding out that such nice people are dealing with such trying circumstances. I believe I stopped coming around before you a jread got together so a belated congrats there! I'll be keeping you both in my prayers and will hope for the best!!

Re: Update on Jennifer Read.

I don't even have words to thank you all for your donations, but also your thoughts and prayers. I sure need them, and appreciate you all taking time out of your own lives to pray for us. Thank you thank you thank you!

We are beyond shocked at the generosity of all of you here, and elsewhere. It's staggering.

Since this came out, I have a couple of updates. The doctor here who specializes in spinal cord injuries believes I am permanently paralyzed from my hips down. I can feel things, but I can't move my legs. The doctor at Brackenridge did an EMG on my legs and says there may be hope for my left leg, but got zero response from my right one. However, my PT said she saw my left leg move the other day. Both Jeremy and my Mother refuse to believe this is permanent. The doctor here claims he believes I was injured from my radiation therapy following my chemo, and that it usually takes a year or so afterward to show up. However, he has never laid a hand on me, or even interviewed me about my condition. So, I don't really know what to believe, but that's what they said.

The good thing is I am finally going home! The target date right now is February 1st. It's going to be really difficult for Jeremy and I to handle this, but I think we will be alright. When we get into our routine, we will bring our daughter home. I am elated. I have missed her whole life until now. I need her home with us. I can't wait any longer. So, I am very excited about it.

Again, thank you to everyone who helped out however they could. You are all a blessing to us. We appreciate everything you have done to help us. If we can help any of you in your time of need, just ask.

Love to you all,
Jenny

Glad to hear that there is hope yet for you Jenny! I will be so happy for you when you get back home. I think that will really boost your morale and your PT is going to work out great! I wish you the best and I am really glad that we all came together for a fellow board member (and friend) in her time of need .

First for all who donated to help this couple, yall are awesome!!! It is weighing heavy on me, that I wasn't in any position to help out monetarily, because I sure as heck would...I haven't been back here in quite a while myself, so I just wanted to tell both Jennifer and Jeremy you're family is in my prayers!! I want to wish you all the best with your PT, and hope for a full recovery...I think it's really awesome yall found each other on here !! And I've been on here since probably the beginning when it was just JasonD's site about his 96 SS. It is very disheartening to hear what your going through, as I am having some medical issues myself right now, which are nothing near as bad as yours. My faith in doctors though is NOT very good, nor was it ever. I'm with Mom and Jeremy on this, and praying for you to have a full recovery, so don't give up hope always keep fighting!! As for me, I don't have any children, or SO. I watched my grandfather after chemo, and now hearing what you've been through, I am absolutely refusing it, I will NOT do it!! And no loads of pills either. I don't care what they tell me, I'm ready..!!

Wow, thank you! How very kind you are. We appreciate any prayers we can get. Sorry to hear you're going through some bad stuff yourself. As for cancer treatment, I highly recommend looking at other options besides chemo if you can. Lots of vitamin C have been proven to reduce cancer cells. I wish you the very best, and you are in MY prayers.

Re: Update on Jennifer Read.

No thanks needed Jen, I just pray for the best for you and your family!! I remember both of yall since before ya met, so I was reading that with a very heavy heart!! Yea I won't do the chemo, no way no how! I have a fairly large tumor where my ear ties into my brain, which causes me to have vertigo, nausea and all sorts of other problems including total hearing loss and tinnitus (constant ringing) in that ear!! They said it's "probably" non-cancerous...IDK yet! I have to see a specialist next month, so we'll see?? There is a Dr. in Texas who has supposedly had some good results, can't recall the name right off hand!! I'll have to find it again and post it up!! Again my prayers are with you!!!

Unhappy Re: Update on Jennifer Read.

I am sorry to report that it has been confirmed on Facebook by Jeremy Read that our friend and sister Jenny has passed away.

I am extremely saddened and in shock but truthfully, ever so slightly relieved as I know she was battling long and hard without rest. Now she can rest in peace.

She was beautiful, helpful, generous, fun, and she was a friend to me, my wife and many, many people here. She will be painfully missed.

Thank you, Jason. And thank you to all of the people on this board for being a part of her life. We would have never met had it not been for this forum and all the great people that are a part of it.

I haven't been around for a few years, but caught wind of this on Facebook and felt compelled to stop by and give my condolences. Jenny was a great person. I'm sorry for your loss, Jeremy.
