>we have a bottle bill here in Massachusetts carbinated beverages whether if its beer, soda, carbinated water, etc there is a 5 cent deposit.
I get their (CVS) carbinated flavor water "Stars &Stripe Fruit Mist"
it really good.
They actually told us that they do not accept the return bottles but they do charge a deposit for the bottles
I have to talk to the manager after I get out of work tomorrow and inform them of their rude employees.
A friend of mine told me to take it up with the Massachusetts Atorney Generals office where the "Dealer" (CVS) will get fined up to $1000.00 per offense. www.cvs.com
Anyone else experiance anything like this?

I have no idea what the laws there are but I don't find it difficult to believe that while every place has to charge a fee, not all of those places are required to collect returned bottles.
Around here there is a fee charged when you buy oil called a TN oil disposal fee or something like that... when you buy the oil it's charged, but not all of those places actually offer oil disposal. They pay that money to the state which in turn, I think, pays it to the companies that DO accept oil to pay them for their collection services.
When I was a kid I sold empty liquor bottles to an illegal alcohol distributor AKA (bootlegger), got .05 for 1/2pints, .08 for pints and .15 for 1/5th's, did'nt have liters back then. I did pretty good with it since my dad owned a club and there was no legal liquor within 28mi.. oops sorry for reminiscing just brought it to mind!! D Mc
