Re: Come on in....its the 80s!

My garage in 2012 looks much like the 80s...

Sadly, the blue one is on the chopping block in a few short weeks to make room for my dads 2000 SS, and the red one may not be far behind it I will die with the IROC, and with the aforementioned SS as well. Both are my absolute favorite cars from very impressionable times in my life, and both are EXACTLY what I would've ordered brand new, if I'd been able to.

Thank you! Its a 22k mile bone-stock, perfect car I bought 2 years ago from the second owner with 21k. It still wore the original Gatorbacks, with good tread...those are stuffed in the garage for safe keeping. You have no idea how long I looked for that car, knowing how it was a 1-year-only color...and I had to have t-tops and a 350. It was the EXACT IROC I looked for...from 1997-2010

From 89-98 my mother owned a Gunmetal 89 RS 2.8 (Gunmetal was RS-only in 89) that she gave to me for my HS graduation. I drove it to college for 4 years and sold it in 2002, right before graduation. It was like part of the family, and it was still perfect when I sold it. I thought I was going to cry when I watched it leave. The next owner stuffed it in a tree 3 months later

I think now that I finally found it, other third gens like my two TAs don't interest me as much. Having the "ultimate" third gen, in my mind, fulfills the dream it took so many years to achieve. I NEVER expected to find this car...best part was, it was 20 minutes from my house all these years

Sorry to hijack the thread.
