Chip Foose '69 Camaro

Second link is a PDF and may take some time to load, but is definitely worth checking out. Best part is, you can actually purchase one of these and have a choice of options - but who the hell would want a car like this/pay so much anyway and not get the 572cid /620 HP Big Block V8 Engine?

Re: Chip Foose '69 Camaro

i saw it a while ago at a goodguys show, i don't like it. the dash sucks, and needing a big block to get 620hp is weak. my uncle has a cooler dash and just as much horsepower out of a reliable big cube smallblock in his '69 Camaro

Re: Chip Foose '69 Camaro

I'm glad to see something a bit different. He's a cool guy and all, but lately all of his cars have a generic design. I'm thinking someone (like tv producers) are keeping him from being as creative as he normally is.
I love this one he designed.

I agree on the dash, looks kind of plastic-like in the pics.

Honestly haven't paid too much attention lately being in college, but I think anyone would be rather generic in designing a '69 if they planned to sell up to 500 of them. It has to be difficult to be too creative with such a classic and ecpect to sell it to primarily classic car collectors, enthusiasts, etc. If he just totally redesigned everything I think the enthusiasts would be pushed away, leaving just a market of people with a bunch of money but no real interest in Camaros/could care less for a '69. Since most rich people, etc. probably know little about classic muscle I see them leaning towards luxury sedans and Ferrari instead. I think that overall he did a great job - thought the dash isn't my favorite, it does at least resmble the original..

Ya know there are some pics that I just can't stand the colors....others I really like them. WHen I saw it on tv, I liked them - had no complaints, but some pics even the hugger orange looks different to me.... I guess I'd have to see it in person.
