I was in the theater yesterday and saw a posted talking about how bringing video equipment into a theater is punishable as a felony, up to 10 years in jail, and a $250,000 fine.
Gotta love how the MPAA/RIAA lobbied for those changes. I love that bootlegging a movie is a more serious crime than rape.

Yep - Pirate Bay moved to a .se to try to distance themselves from US law. Lots of others just shutting down.
Kickass torrents did something similar, moving to a .ph

We've got no issue with the content of the thread, but plead do not make posts asking for instruction or assistance in breaking the law (even if requesting it via private message). Thanks.

Downloading from a torrent is NOT breaking the law IF you already have the original in your possession. Believe me..been there done that.

Dang, that means 99% of the population commits a felony when going to the movies. Every phone now a days has a video camera, is that not video equipment?
Are you living in fantasy land where people download **** they own?

In Texas, sexual assault (not aggravated) is a second degree felony, carrying a sentence of up to 20 years. I'm no math whiz, but I'm pretty sure 20 > 10.
