BTJunkie.org shut down
It appears that the MegaUpload situation is scaring a lot of file share and torrent sites. Yesterday BTJunkie.org voluntarily closed it's doors in what I can assume is a "quit while you're ahead" move. Sad, I used that site a lot.
From their site:

This is the end of the line my friends. The decision does not come easy, but we've decided to voluntarily shut down. We've been fighting for years for your right to communicate, but it's time to move on. It's been an experience of a lifetime, we wish you all the best!
I hope we don't see a domino affect here.

It's possible... but for everyone who gets scared out of the business... there's going to be someone else who's brave enough to fill in the gap they left.

Yep - Pirate Bay moved to a .se to try to distance themselves from US law. Lots of others just shutting down.

I don't think so, maybe you're thinking of the mock-ups that were made for the SOPA protests?

shi*, I wonder how much money is being thrown around by the movie and music industry for this to finally occur.
I can see it now

Re: BTJunkie.org shut down
Why did they even need SOPA. They obviously don't follow due process now nor have any problem shutting down sites.
