Will an SLP 2OTL keep me from reaching my power goals?

I am in the process of removing the LT1 (and the rest of the drive train for that matter) from my 1996 SS. It will be getting an LME 427 LSX + an ATI F1a with a retrofit TR6060/T56 transmission. The power goal is low 900s to the wheels on 93 octane. My question is about my stock 2OTL catback. I have always liked the look and sound of the SLP 2OTL catback, but I am wondering if I need something larger than a 3 inch single pipe. If I could find a quality stainless muffler that sounded good and had a 4 inch inlet with dual 3 inch outlets, I might would think about having a copy made. Anyone have any input as to if I should even worry about it? Thanks.

Strano swaybars and CTS-V brakes are in the mail...

I would say yes! You will need a different exhaust set up. So as to not cause congestion. Something with headers/x-pipe/bullet mufflers. That should keep her exhaust flow proper and help with scavenging. Just my .02 tho!!!

I will have Kooks LTs with an offroad Y pipe. It is just the catback that I have my doubts about.

Buddy of mine ran 1,125 flywheel HP through a 4" Mufflex catback on his 97 30th SS convertible. He had his 2OTL tip welded to the single 4" single outlet on the Flowmaster 30-series race muffler, for the sleeper look.

I really don't think a 3" catback is going to be too useful with 900+ HP at the rear wheels

If you like the 2OTL, why not run dual 3" exhaust, and have both tailpipes exit out the left. Might be able to run a pair of Magnaflow straight through mufflers in place of the crossflow muffler.
