My 1986 Camaro z28 what should I do for the Exhaust System

I am pretty new to working on cars in any big way but I want to get my '86 Camaro a new Exhaust System and have no idea what to get for it. I just need some good ideas that will work and not cost over 500$. My main problem atm is that there is no room to do a true dual exhaust(or at lest that is what everyone keeps saying) which at this point I don't even care any more I just want to get it done. That being said I would still like to have to tail pipes out the back if I can if not then so be it. Oh the car has long headers on it too so just keep that in mind and any ideas that will help would be awesome thank you.

BTW am just about ready to start taking a saw to stuff and say screw it.

Because ATM I have long headers on the car so now all I need is some ideas of what type of muffler to get to put on.

BTW, those summit headers are not LTs, there shorty headers

I'd also strongly recommend replacing the crush bend Y-pipe coming off the headers with a mandrel bent tubing peace.

Dynomax Performance 17495,cat-back, about $202

Hooker Headers 16820HKR, catback, about $340

Now, if you're just looking for a muffler, what's the diameter of the pipe that connects to the muffler. Is it 2.5" or 3"?
