Long tube headers, what length o2 extensions?

Just like the title say. I'm getting ready for my new exhaust system and I want to know what length o2 extensions do I need? Headers are full length, don't plan on having a rear o2 sensor, fronts only

Hard to believe that no one here has long tube headers

Re: Long tube headers, what length o2 extensions?

Sometimes it takes longer than 24 hrs to get a reply- this forum seems to have lost quite a bit of traffic.

When I put my long tubes in I was able to re-route the one side so only had to extend the one side- which was about 8-10".

12" extensions should be long enough for you I would think.

I waited longer than 24 hours, i think

thanks for the feedback, I agree this forum has really died down lately.

Where did everyone go?

Re: Long tube headers, what length o2 extensions?

I believe the correct answer is 18" for one side and 12" for the other. I believe I did the longer size on both. A lot easier to zip tie up some slack than wait on another part because you were short.

edit: looks like I'm a little off. I searched my email and it looks like I ordered 2 24" o2 extensions from autowiringsolutions on eBay. Here's the exact product I bought, of course it was a couple bucks cheaper in 2010.

Thank you! I'll probably order 2 24" then cut them down if needed.

Much is appreciated!

I'd seriously just fold them up on themselves and zip tie it. A lot easier than splicing and soldering.

Not if you good with a soldering iron

I may or may not. Depends on how much I enjoy fabbing up my exhaust system. By the time I get around to hooking up my o2s I may not care.

If you are just wanting to solder something together, the Pacesetter LTs come with some wire to extend your o2's.

Thats true, but that would look awful.

Unless it's a 100 pt show car no one is going to look underneath.

That being said I didn't use them

Re: Long tube headers, what length o2 extensions?

I'll end this topic with the correct information.

You need a 24" and a 12"

The drivers side uses the 24" and the passenger is a 12"

There you go!
