FL headers for street w/ good low torque
I have seen some summit headers that fit a standard 350 for $100. They have 1 5/8 primaries with 3" collector. I have seen posts that say people have them working well on lt1 v8's in like a 1979 camaro even with the d shaped ports. I have a 94 camaro so for that application i'm still not sure.
The engine is stock and will remain so in the foreseeable future due to budget.
I want good low end torque and wish i could find 1 5/8" primaries into a 2.5" collector so I could have 2.5" y pipe and catback. This i have not found...anywhere and i can't afford custom headers.
I currently have pacesetter mid-length headers and y pipe attached to a straight pipe(no cat) into a 3" catback system with a "stock" gm muffler. I say "stock" because I think this car had 2 1/4 or 2 1/2 exhaust stock but there is a gm number on the muffler.
Any ideas?
