Exhaust Drone

I just added some mid-length pacesetters and car sounds terrible. I know flowmasters are famous for having lots of drone sound but it is so bad now with the headers. Maybe sounds a little good above 4,000 rpm but other than that its bad. Anybody else experience this?

Re: Exhaust Drone

Are you running a flowmaster muffler?Maybe a free flowing muffler would deaden the sound some.My02.

Re: Exhaust Drone

I did SLP shorts on a 1997SS. Not much drone. Now went with Pacesetter LTs. Lots of drone. Did a 3" Y with Spintech 3 1/2" catback. Cats were destroyed from FI app. Used CCI inserts to solve the drone. Not much space for resonators. B.
