This is a PRESS RELEASE concerning our BIG 25th anniversary event, CAMARO SUPERFEST 2016! This is the longest-running ALL CAMARO event in the USA and one of the largest gatherings of Camaros in North America! Our attendance last year was 385 Camaros (500 in 2014!). The participants were from 12 different states and Canada. The event is hosted by the Eastern Michigan Camaro Club, sponsored by Lou LaRiche Chevrolet, Plymouth, MI and working to benefit the hobby of street and muscle cars.

CAMARO SUPERFEST Special announcement!!!
For the BIG 25th anniversary CAMARO SUPERFEST, we are excited to announce that our event is FOUR BIG DAYS of Camaro fun!!! As you see on our masthead, we have added Thursday, June 30th to our schedule. WHY?? Because we wanted to do something extra special for our participants... TWO big days of extra special fun! And those are...
Thursday, June 30... Camaro Superfest registered participants will once again, hit the high banks of MIS – Michigan International Speedway!
Friday, July 1... Camaro Superfest registered participants will take a tour of the Lansing Assembly plant and see new 2016 Camaros being built!
Saturday and Sunday, July 2-3 will be our regular show-&-shine days in Riverside Park in Ypsilanti.

Our 2016 charity has not been approved just yet, but we’re working on a good one! Just a reminder... THANKS to the help of our event sponsors and participants, we gave $15,200 to Angela Hospice in 2015!!

Here’s the event rundown....

WHAT- Camaro Superfest 2016, 25th anniversary all Camaro car event
WHEN- Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday June 30, July 1-2-3, 2016
WHERE- Riverside Park, Ypsilanti, Michigan, USA
TIMES- Thursday and Friday are special days for registered
participants ONLY.
Saturday show is open from 8am-4pm and Sunday from 8am-4pm all
public is welcome these two days at Riverside Park, Ypsilanti!
WHO- open to all Camaro owners everywhere, Camaros can be stock,
restored or modified. Spectators welcome Saturday and Sunday.

COST- to register a Camaro for display only, Drivers Class = FREE!!
To register a Camaro to be judged, Judged Class = $15
To sell a Camaro or obtain a swap space = $30 each space (20x20)
Spectators are by DONATION to our charity- TBD

EVENT FACTS-
Camaro Superfest 2016 is the longest-running, largest and friendliest annual ALL Camaro event in the USA! We have had 200+ Camaro’s for 23 years!
Camaro Superfest 2015 is hosted by the Eastern Michigan Camaro Club, sponsored by Lou LaRiche Chevrolet, Plymouth, MI
Additional support is from Chevrolet Motor Division – GM, City of Ypsilanti, Marriott Hotels.

it's time for another BIG CAMARO SUPERFEST 2016 update!!
We are very pleased to announce our charity for 2016... the Salvation Army! While they are out collecting with their holiday red kettles, we'll be giving them a huge boost in the "off-season" at CAMARO SUPERFEST!! We may even get some red kettles at the show to donate into!! We're again upping our goal to $15,000!! (we gave $12,200 last year)
We and the Salvation Army, look forward to your support!!

HELLO from CAMARO SUPERFEST HQ....
Our webmaster has been getting quite a few requests for registration information - COOL!! We are very pleased so many are already excited about our event!! We are still getting the event details and planning completed. We expect to have this done during the month of January and we expect to have registration open on or by mid-February. We will do some announcing on FaceBook, our website and several other websites and forums, giving you about a 2-3 day notice of when online registration will open. We will email everyone in our database, a copy of our event flyer at the same time, so those that wish to register by US Mail can do so as well. WOW... I believe this could be a new record for us!!!!! Alabama, Colorado, Saskatchewan... all new locations for participants!!
PLUS..... we have received 3 registrations in the US mail yesterday!! I’m sure our total is more!! WOW!! And don’t forget to check in our website registration update page... as we post how many from each year, how many from each state and the first registered from each state!! Always interesting to follow!!

ALSO... the hotel problem HAS been fixed!! They will now check our room block at least once a week and if it gets down to 2-3 open rooms, they will automatically add more rooms to our block!

Some on FaceBook have asked about confirmations.... if you register online, you will receive an email confirmation from PayPal services, showing your purchase amount. If you receive that, you are good for now! Our standard ACCEPTANCE LETTER will be emailed (or by US mail) to you in late May/early June and will contain your registration number and ALL important information concerning the MIS and Lansing Plant tour. PLEASE follow these instructions!!!

HELLO!!!
Welcome to CAMARO SUPERFEST 2016!!
Registration has been open for just over one month and it’s time to report on our progress.
It’s a GREAT NEWS – not so good news situation.....

GREAT NEWS.... WOW... YIKES....!!! Registrations for our event have exploded!!! We are currently at or near 300!!!!! That is fantastic!! WOW!!! Our pre-registrations have never happened so fast and by so many. THANK-YOU!!! We have people from 14 states and 3 Canadian provinces!! (new records!!) We’ll get that First IN State listing up in the next few days. Once again, THANK-YOU for your support by pre-registering!!

Not-so-great news..... Because of this new and great registration success, we are very sorry to have to inform everyone that we have reached our limit for the Lansing Assembly plant tour. We knew this would be exciting and that many would attend... we just were not prepared for such an over-whelming success as it has turned out to be. So again, sorry, but there will be no more registrations available for the plant tour. There is NO LIMIT on how many can attend the MIS activity... or how many Camaros we can get in the park... so keep on registering for that and our event over-all!!

While this is not-so-great news... we do have a back-up plan!! We had not announced it yet, as it was to be part of the Plant Tour Rules that we will also be posting VERY soon.... but Ken and Kristen Lingenfelter have approached us, due to others calls/emails, and the Lingenfelter Collection will now be OPEN on Friday, July 1st from 1pm-4:30pm!! There is NO CHARGE for this extra activity. Those people getting on the first few plant tours will be able to stop by the collection on their way home from the plant. NOW... even if you did not sign-up for the plant tour, ALL are welcome to stop by the Collection!! A HUGE THANKS to Ken and Kristen!! This is why we love having them as an event co-sponsor!!

Unfortunately... there is more not-so-good news..... Again, because of our monstrous success, our HQ Hotel, the Marriott at Eagle Crest, is now totally booked!! Between our event and a couple other groups, there are NO more rooms available to be booked!! Our new over-flow hotel is.....

Hello... we are almost at our show dates! Just over a month to go!! We hope you are as excited as we are!! All of the arrangements have been made, we’re ready to go! With that news... watch your emails and/or mailbox for your ACCEPTANCE LETTER!! (please make sure that my email is accepted into your email inbox and not going to spam!! barry76Lt@wowway.com) This letter and message will verify your registration and have all the latest information you may need on our event. Please read the entire letter!! Lots of great information in there!

Registrations.... are STILL climbing!! WOW!! With a recent web download and some mail-in registrations, we have now topped 440 pre-registered for Camaro Superfest 2016!! You can still pre-register online, until June 22nd. Then we will shut down the online registration, so we can get ready for the show. THANK-YOU for your registrations!!!!

PLEASE NOTE!!! – to participate at MIS on Thursday, June 30, you MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED!!! We will NOT do new registrations AT the track!! You can do a walk-in registration on Wednesday night and Thursday morning at the HQ hotel and still go to MIS. We will have a registration check-in at the track... in case you want to meet us there because it is easier for you, then coming to the HQ hotel first.

We’re sorry that we have not been able to keep-up with the number of Camaros by years, in our registration page. We will work on automating that for next year. From what I have seen as registrations pass through a check-in process... we do have many 6th gen Camaros attending! The 5th gen’s are a bit ahead of gens 1-4 in attendance, but as in usual CSF fashion, we will have a very nice mix of ALL Camaro years. Hence. Our CSF moniker of being “ the largest ALL Camaro event in the USA!” !!

HELLO!!! We are only 2.5 weeks away from our event - CAMARO SUPERFEST 2016!!
Your emails and comments on FaceBook, saying how excited you are to be attending has been a tremendous boost to all of the EMCC membership! We're excited to be your hosts!! Here are a few updates... feel free to share!!
ACCEPTANCE LETTERS... these are now up to date and all sent out!! Those without emails have been snail-mailed too. We are at 471 pre-registrations! WOW! Thank-you all for wanting to attend our event!
ON-LINE REGISTRATION... continues until Wednesday, June 22nd. Then it will be shut-down. Registration after that date will only be AT the HQ hotel or Riverside Park on Saturday/Sunday. REMINDER... there are NO onsite registrations AT MIS!! You must be pre-registered to attend the MIS activity!

Our artist has done another great job for our event design! We are doing something a bit different this year... the main design is on the back of our t-shirts, with the smaller design on the left front. We believe this to be a bit "classier" of a design for you!!
MIS LAPS... Let us remind those going to MIS to not forget those copies of your drivers license and proof of insurance. Those will be collected at the track. We have 239 Camaros registered to go!! (a new record!!) Don't forget a lunch, snacks and drinks... you will be there most of the day! And a full gas tank too!
LANSING TOUR... We are all set and Lansing Grand River Assembly is excited to be hosting this first-ever group tour! Please remember the rules!! (especially the NO phones/cameras!!) You can recheck the rules on our website. NEW... we have arranged for a food truck to be onsite from approx. 10am-2pm. With our 3 tiered leaving times, you may not have to bring a lunch, but now have the option of the food truck or stopping before/after.
We're almost there.....if you have any questions, it's best to send me an email and I'll get you an answer!

Join us at Camaro Superfest on Saturday to see..... 2017 ZL1 !! 2017 1LE !! and a 2017 50th anniversary edition Camaro!!

These great new Camaros will be on display on Saturday only along with Chevrolet folks handing out some great promotional materials!
