Re: trans, again
i didnt even get a rebuild, i got a matching trans off craigslist, installed, and went. money was short and i needed the car, but financially i'm a little free'd up and id like to get some more oomph out of the motor, and i have some plans on how to do that, i just need some suggestions on rebuild kits, sides i want this to be the last time i pull this car's trans

Re: trans, again
i got told by my friends dad (who has been building camaro's and other race application gm's) that with my build a 2200 would be about what i want for streetability, but i think i might want to go a little higher this time, especially since im going to be beefing up the motor

Re: trans, again
"a little higher this time" ? you should've already been in the 3200-3600 range !
Instead of starting at 2200 where high torque application causes a sort of engagement to the drivetrain and having to climb/accelerate thru all that low horsepower part of the curve, a 'higher' stall will start more into the 'meatier' part of the curve. You're not wasting time(1/4 mile ET) climbing thru it. And that applies to every gear.
