67 Factory traction arm question

Hey guys my car came with the round factory radius arm. The bracket is already on the rear end. I came across a square type arm and bought it. I know the round was small block car and square was big block. I see that the bracket welded onto the rear from the factory only has one hole in it for the round arm.(It is a 350 car so it makes sense) The square set up has a another bracket that bolts to that bracket that's already on the rear. That new bracket needs two holes to mount. I see why and how it works. My question is can I just drill another hole to accommodate that bolt? Looks like it should work fine. Anybody have any experience with this?

Thanks

Just a warning, not a lot of active 1st Gen members on the site..... a couple, and hopefully they will see this. Unfortunate, but true.

Re: 67 Factory traction arm question

pic of the current bracket and pic of the new bar ? a 2 hole arrangement generally indicates some kind of 'lift' bar.
