3k stall with 3.73 or 3.42

Hey everyone I have a chance of getting a tci streetfighter 3k stall for a really good price, would this work well with 3.73 gears or 3.42 gears? I've already asked about the gears not long ago, but now that I can get this stall I'm wondering if it's beneficial and if so, which gears is it better for? Thanks

You might want to check out TCIs reputation with 4L60E converters. I've never had a customer yet that has been happy with one.

Re: 3k stall with 3.73 or 3.42

I had a TCI,now running Yank. I'll never use or recommend a TCI. The TCI had no effect on 1/4 mile performance and the looseness in city driving became irritating. A friend put a TCI 3000 streetfighter in his 2002 Z28 and no change in performance, just high rpm nuisance to get the car moving.
An 'off the shelf' inexpensive TCI or a custom Yank(or CircleD),don't make a mistake and regret your decision.

Maybe not enough motor to take advantage of said stall speed (which is common) Or it is was a bad converter. That is frustrating!

I have 2 or 3 friends running them without any problems.

I'm not trying to push them by any means. I've been running a Hugh's 5200 for the last 5 years and been very happy with the performance.

Stall. It actually flashes at about 5500/5600. I leave at 5200 on the chip. It started out as a 8" pro series that I've had to get fine tuned for my liking.
