If it is from a abs only car it will fit, and your abs will work. If it is from a traction control car it will fit, but your abs won't work. ABS only will have a single sensor on top of the center section.

Your brakes will fit but you may need to use the axle shafts from your 94 rear end. The 94 and 00 shafts are slightly different lengths. What matters is that your calipers are centered over the discs. There may be shims behind the backing plates that can be used to be sure the calipers are centered. You will need to use the brake hard lines and flexible lines from your 94. If you don't want to bleed the brakes you should be able to leave the brake lines and calipers attached to your car during the swap.

If you get the 00 rear with brakes you can use the 00 brakes. You would need the 00 emergency brake cables. The 00 brakes are larger but the only real benefit is the better emergency brake. Your 94 spare tire won't fit over the 00 calipers.

The 00 rear uses a Torsen limited slip instead of the Auburn in your 94.

You will need to have your PCM programed for the 3.42 gears.

Re: 2000 z28 rear end 3.42

I don't remember for sure but I think the 2000 axles are slightly shorter. The difference isn't very much. Probably 1/8 of an inch or less. I have 98 brakes on my 94 and I just used the 98 axle shafts. As long as the calipers are pretty close to centered over the discs it shouldn't make any difference which axles you use.
