Good improvements. Why are you spinning ET streets?

hmm

i have no idea. it was pretty cold outside. i tried everything. barely heating them up, heating the hell out of them, went down from 30psi to 15 in 2-4 psi increments. best hook was at 15-19 psi and i was still audibly spinning. i have lca relo brackets, lakewood boxed lcas sfcs and eibach springs

DR's are supposed to be used at normal PSI... don't take them down that low. Your problem is somewhere else.

Who said anything about Drag Radials?
He said that he had ET Streets which are a bias ply DOT slick and work well on our cars at 16psi.

ET Streets are classified as DRAG RADIALS. They most definitely are radials.

This is a link to Summit. Typed in ET Streets. They are RADIALS. Say it with me.. RADIALS. NOT SLICKS. They are D.O.T. approved Street Radials.
How does that not constitute a drag radial to you??? What would be your definition of a drag radial?

Here's another link to a site that sells them. They say right in the description... "this D.O.T. approved street legal drag radial will get your car down the track in record time and drive you home with sure handling and an excellent ride"

Also, I'm not doubting their effectiveness at 16psi... but he said he was having issues and I suggested that he should raise his psi, I've seen plenty of people with great 60's at higher psi

You really should know what you're talking about before you start dissing someone. Would you actually talk to me like that face to face?
At the upper left of the page that you posted there's a link for ET street radials and under that a link for ET street DOT slicks. Here's that link.

I guess I just had the problem with you calling me out about calling ET Streets 'drag radials'. Since the OP never posted if he uses radials or slicks. He even responded to my post about the DR's and never corrected me nor made any mention of running slicks over dr's. He stated something about track conditions.

Everybody who has ever run a decent time on a drag radial disagrees with that.

8 teens is like 12.60's @ 109'ish. You'll be 8.0's next time out is my guess.

If this is an ET Street, I'd try 12-13 psi.. lots of heat.

bkpliskin, Al has been through more pairs of tires than you can imagine.

yep

i went to beech bend and ran one run. thats all i had time for. i ran the tires at 18 psi 1200 converter flash, punched the throttle. DEAD hook! 1.767 60 foot. it was just that track. beech bend is a way better track. this is because it is older too. but i disagree with running drag RADIALS at normal psi. 15-19 psi seems to be where 90% of people hook best. now that i have this 2-3 shift issue fixed and i flash the stall at 1500 im willing to bet ill be in the 7's. at beech bend i ran an 8.12 and a 12.71

That's no excuse for talking to me like I'm some retarded kid

Calling you out?? I just asked why you assumed that because he said ET Streets that he meant ''radials''.
