Unexpected win
I race a 6 race series up here in MI. A $35 to enter $1000 to win no electronics street legal door cars on ''street tires'' bracket race. Buy backs in round one or two but once you loose a round your out of the points even if you buy back in and win the race.
Race 1 was cancelled due to rain then rescheduled. Lost in the 4th round no buy back.
Race 2 didn't go as there was a 60% chance of rain. Race was rained out in the 3rd round. No points for me.
Race 3 lost in the 5th round no buy back.
Race 4 lost in the quarter finals no buy back.
Race 5 lost in the finals also with no buy back.
Race 6 was cancelled die to rain.
The unexpected part was that I won the points championship for the series without winning a race. Not having to buy back in all season kept me in the points and I ended up 39 points ahead.

Congrats Al....Way to go. Now use part of that $1,000 to buy my nitrous system and put that car into the 9's
I will get you some times on my car this week. I did go a couple weeks ago in 80+ heat and 80 humidity and got a best of 11.90 at 116mph. I couldn't get the car to hook to well. The best I was able to do is a 1.72 60'. I just ordered new 315/35/17 MT ET Streets today. So, I hope with those and 65 degree low humidity weather I can get the car into the 11.5s or better.
Oh yea, fixed my vacuum leak off the back of the manifold too.
Did I already tell you my results from a few weeks ago?
