trapped 116.71 this weekend...cam only
My previous best with the 227/233 cam on ET Streets went...
60' - 1.63
1/8 - 7.82 @ 85.17
1/4 - 12.32 @ 111.12
I changed the cam to the GM847, ditched the AC, and ran on ET Radials rather than ET Streets and in warmer weather, ran a...
60' - 1.80
1/8 - 7.92 @ 87.77
1/4 - 12.34 @ 116.71
I would be lying if I told you I was anything less that exstatic, other than the 60'. I need to get my 60' down to where it used to be and Ill be knocking on 11's door. Heres the vid.

Thanks bigdave. Ive got a TCI super street fighter 3500 stall. I picked up almost 29mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4 which almost brought a tear to my eye. The weather was nice but like I said, a little warm. I think some cooler weather might squeeze a little more ET out of it.
A little more info on the car. Raceweight before I ditched the AC was right around 3430 so after ditching the AC Id say Im right around 3400lbs. Heads are completly stock minus the valvetrain or course. The full mod list is...
GM847, Crane 99893 Valvesprings, CM Hardened Pushrods, Comp R lifters, Comp 1.6 SA RR's, CSI Electric Waterpump, K&N CAI, 1LE Elbow, MAC Midlength Headers, Dynomouth Exhaust, Eibach ProKit, BMR LCA's with Relocation brackets, TCI SuperStreetFighter 3500stall converter, a B&M TransCooler, 4.10 gears, DR's, ProStars and some other slight weight reduction.
EDIT---PCMforLess mailorder tune.
The car shifts at ~6400 and redline is at 6500 I believe. I was going through the traps at about 6300-6300rpm so as it sits not, its setup pretty good for my mods. Im happy with it anyways.

You've got great mph!! Those M/T radials are definitely capable of great 60's...Check my sig and you'll see what a they did for me and I'm not running skinnies and both sway bars are in...I made 5 runs all within 3 hundreths of each other with those little 255 50 R16s. I went to a track rental and was able to experiment with launch techniques and found a decent burnout and an off idle launch, flashing the converter, produced those wicked 60's...A 1.60ish 60' will give you an 11 second run easy...Good luck!!!

...and I run shorties, too...they aint all that bad...

Man, I knew I missed something. Ive got a PCMforLess mail order tune in it. Its possible that I get a little more out of it on a dyno but with how it bahaves, Id say Alvin and company did a great job getting it pretty dang close. Its funny that you said that about the LT's as well. I just so happen to have a set of Hooker LT's that I just got back from having re-coated sitting in my garage waiting for a little spare time on a weekend.

I ran my 255s at 17 psi cold...I would probably start around 19 and go down from there...and when I told Joe O that I was running shorties he laughed at me...I'm looking at the Kooks 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 LTs and see if we can go 11.30s..or better...Good luck again and nice car...

Wow, nice times. My car traps 116, but also is doing about 93mph in the 1/8. You got some serious top end there. Although, I think my car going into 5th kills me trap speed.
