Most would say that it's bad but if the DA was bad ??????????????

I do a consistent 13.18 with DR's to my all time worst of 13.52 with street tires and that is on a '00 Z28 with a A4 and my only mod being a flowmaster exhaust system.
But I guess your first time it isn't too bad, Tune your car better and maybe get some stickys

i ran 13.84 at 103 mph. i treid a few different things. first i launched with the traction control got a bad start, the car bogged and got a 14.10. not to mention i let off the gas befor the race was even over. the second pass was a little better 14.00. then the third pass i fried my tires and glazed my clutch ran 18.00 then i did a little better and got a 13.84. it was kinda warm out, my car always runs way better when its chilly outside like anyone does. well by the next time i make it i will have a true dual xpipe setup and LT headers and hopefully be able to drive better!

I am confused...how are you guys running high 13s with a '02 SS that has 10-20 more HP then me but yet I'm doing low to mid 13s?
Is it your elevation? Elevation at my house is only 500 ft but at the track I go to is around '1000.
The temp. when I ran my Z a couple weeks ago was around 65

What track do you race at? If the low et was driver technique the MPH would be higher, way higher. That's why I asked about elevation and weather. Low MPH indicates low power, high altitude will lower power.

Not too bad at all. Yes, there have been a few faster times run but, it usually takes a few trips to the track to achieve best results. My '99 SS ran 14.4s my first time out but, after a few more trips to the track, got it down to 13.2s.
As stated before, track elevation and weather conditions do play a huge role in how well your car ultimately will run. Just keep trying and your times will improve. Good luck.
Guarantee in a few months, when the fall weather comes in, your car will be at least .3 quicker.

ya i dont understand how everyone runs a low 13 an their stock ss and z28's. my best was 13.84 and i got a good launch and good shifts. i would say a 13.6 whould have been the best possible time for my car.

Magazine cars were running high 12's if anyone remembers.
It wasn't believeable until about 3 local guys did it. A lightweight Z28 was the key. I seen a 2.73 auto car go 12.59 with a cold air kit and a hacked off exhaust on stock RS-A's.
My guess for a stock ss was always 13.4 @ 107. It is what it is.. fun.
