Post Questions about Summit's economical race seats?

I saw these seats, part number SUM-G2100.
Do any of you have these installed in your 4th gen Fbody?
What are your impressions of them, I like the price of 40 buck a piece.
I know I need to buy the brackets too, but still, it is within my budget.
Any pros or cons, or problems with installs.
Also if you do have these seat, how much do they weigh?
Peace.

I have them, and they are @ 11 lbs with covers.
Pro's are they are light and arent bad for quick trips. Con's are they arent SUPERcomfy, and tend to get a lil rough on long trips. I can deal with em just fine.
There are pics in the second link in my sig.

hey Dirk, Matt gave me a ride on his car (nostang) and the seats are not that bad all... They look real unconfortable, but they give a nice back support.

I don't know for a daily driver who good will it be though.

Only problem I know of as far as fitment goes I dont think the brackets will work. I know I had to make brackets that mounted the seats in a stationary position. I really think theyre not too bad for comfort, but I wouldnt be taking any long trips with them.

Same here not to bad on short trips but u will need custom made brackets for the seats i had a local chassis shop install the both seats and both 5 point harness for 150 dollars and thats on the high side im sure u could get just the seats mounted for around 50 buck or so.

I had a Jaz bucket in my car for a short while(same basic seat). It was only comfortable for short trips. It was very light. I had to make my own mounting brackets for it.

I wouldn't put one in a car that I was going to drive for any kind of distance.

Then a good question is what is the most comfortable seat that weighs the least?

Yes, that would be the best route, I would be willing to pay a bit more for a seat that would be a bit more confortable and still weigh close to these. However, I do not want to pay well over $100 each.

If you want to stay around $100, than the choice is pretty much a Jaz/Jegs/Summit plastic bucket. They end up being right at that price when you figure in the mounting-bracket and cover.

To get the same weight-savings, along with comfort, you're gonna spend a LOT more.

I have momo t frames and they probably weigh 15lbs or so. I have driven 8+ hours in them and though not super comfy they are ok for daily driving in my opinion.
