I bet my bolt on auto vert would run a 13 flat with a 10 sec. R/T

I ran a 14.3 @ 97.4 mph with a 2.24 60ft on street tires. The DA was ~2300. My run with the DA corrected would have been 13.91 @ 99.7mph.

I'd be pretty content for bone stock. Now it's time to get to modding and get deep into the 13's.

ok i just got home, i got 3 passes i rana 13.8 at 101, 13.7 at 102 then a miserable 14.2 at 102 but with a 2.655 60 ft. my best 60 ft was 2.086???
i have mt et streets set at 20 psi but i still spun-and thats after a pretty decent burnout. also i noticed when launching my brakes wouldnt hold the car so i ended up red lighting twice. this car pulls hard and if i can get my 60 ft down, i should see low 13's right?

If you're spinning ET street radials you need to look at modding your rear suspension and loosening the front.

yeah, thats next on my list. also they are not radials they are et streets with tubes-they should hook great so it has to be my suspension. what do you suggest? its all stock right now.

If you're spinning ET Streets with a bolt-on LT1 car, either your posi is gone or the track isn't prepped worth a crap...or there's water all over the track. I've seen stock suspended cars spray 150 shots out of the hole without spinning. Something's seriously wrong with that. Your car shouldn't be able to turn over 275/40/17 Nittos at that power level when heated up.

i think my problem is since my linelock isnt holding the car very long, my burnout is not long enough to heat up the tires. i'm gonna check for air on the lines, otherwise i'm not sure why the car wont stay still during burnout.

ok i re-bled the front brakes-no air came out. i did notice the pads are aftermarket and look like the last "brake job" was just a pad slap because the rotors have slight grooves and the pads look new. i will machine the rotors and replace the pads w/gm pads and see how it goes. today i out my new stall converter in so that should help my launch if i can hook good. i'm racing tomorrow so i'll post new times saturday.

How old are these tires your using? There's no way you should be spinning off the line. What did you say your running the tire pressure at?
