powershifting an LT1
gas pedal stays to the floor while i use the clutch like normal
does the LT1 respond to powershifting like i've heard of some LS1's ie bent pushrods and all that good stuff
i might try this next time i go to the track
but need opinions
new best time last nightshifting at redline
14.1@101.5mph with a 2.3- 60ft
i need to slip the clutch more on my launch

Hell yeah, powershift that dude! Just be careful not to over-rev... When I had the t-56 in my car powershifting gained like 2 tenths and 2-3 mph.

I've powershifted my car(actually every car I've ever owned) everyday for years. No Problems yet. Plus my Z28 has 104K on the odometer and the Original clutch. With my new mods, a new clutch is in the future though. I can't say how much it gains in the 1/4 since I've always done it.

thats what i meant
soo...
while power shifting should i start at a lil lower RPM than i normally would to help avoid over revving?

1. Get an aftermarket ignition box with a rev limiter.
2. Set the rev limit 600 rpm above the rpm that you shift at.
3. Bang those gears and enjoy.
