New track times with a th350

Well after selling my t56 and buying a used th350 and then rebuilding it, I ran a 12.20 @ 114 mph with a 1.89 sixty on DR's.

My best pass with the t56 was 12.60 @ 113 mph with a 1.98 sixty. I will get slicks next and try for a better sixty!

Always nice to improve and go faster, congrats. Do you have a higher stall converter in the TH350?

Re: New track times with a th350

Yes I have a higher stall, Its a Art Carr 3800. I hope to soon go a little faster, the tune is a little rich with AFR's at 11.9 at WOT, I am going to lean it out and see if I can get a 1.6xx sixty and hope to run 11.80's to 11.90's @ the 115 to 116 mph range......Let me know if that it wishing for too much, lol

If you can get that 60 down to a 1.6 that should definately be in the 11's. Good luck.

Re: New track times with a th350

I had to get some hoosiers to get any decent 60's but I think we are pretty close on the ET. Without the nitrous im at 12.1@115 with a 1.72 60'. Pretty sure there would be 11s without the nitrous but I cant get any better than 1.68 or so without the nitrous. I always see others at the track running 11.8s@115-116 but I just couldnt get it right.

Hey man glad to see you made an improvement. I am just about finishing up my swap from the t56 to th350 with about the same size stall. The car went around 11.6s @ around 118 and hoping to improve. Much like you the real reason for doing it is to make the car consistent. I did have one question what did you do about the vehicle speed sensor? This is where I am having some difficulty because my car set the VSS code and will not idle and I need to figure out what I am going to do about this. Any help in this area will greatly appreciated.

Re: New track times with a th350

OK, I did a little trick. I deleted my ABS about a year agao when I still had the T56, when I installed the th350 I ran the vss harness and spliced it in to the front right abs wheel sensor. I then used tunercat to program the speedo until it was accurate. Really easy and pretty much free.

Re: New track times with a th350

You might need to idle the car up a little seeing how it is a auto now. Also u need to stay with the t56 tune, if not u will have a ton of codes for the 4l60e.

If you have any more questions let me know, also the car is way faster with the th350. I ran a 12.1 @ 113.60 mph with a 1.76 sixty on a 28 inch drag click in 95 degree weather. I think with some good air the car will run a 11.90 or a 11.80

Re: New track times with a th350

You guys need to work on the 60's and tuning. My old 355 with Le1 cam/le ported heads ran 11.60@116mph with factory 3.42's in the 10bolt. I ended switching to a Cc306 and got it down to 11.24@120mph with tuning and suspension on motor with only 355ci.

Re: New track times with a th350

Nice, should only get quicker from here on. I have a great Vigilante converter for Th350/th400, sent it in when I pulled my engine out to get freshened up. I have since decided to go turbo LS and I have to start over with stall converter and I'm looking to make somebody a good deal on this Precision Industries converter. My 383 ran 10.80's on motor and on 100 n20 went 9,91@137mph. Lmk
