Damn!!!! My Formula t-top must have lead bars hidden in it somewhere. Last year it was 3,760# with me (185#) on the scale at Englishtown. No A/C, Welds, skinnies, no jack/spare, etc.

Didn't weigh it this year, but I added the Gear Vendor, and tried to offset the weight gain by deleting the front sway bar, AIR system, cruise control, replace stock steering wheel/air bag with cheapie Grant wheel, Corbeau Forza in place of stock cloth non-power driver seat.

Several people have questioned the scale at Englishtown, but that was right after it had been certified for the Matco Tools Nationals. 3,760# sounds ridiculous for a coupe

Fred, the weight i listed was from Englishtown, and that was from the Magazine shootout.

I went to cecil few weeks later and the weights were within 20-25 lbs.......although i dont remember if i had the bottle in it at Etown.

Yeah I agree. Unless somebody is a criminal selling them to chop shops, is there really a place that will buy air bags???

I finnally weighed mine this past weekend. With all factory options but t-tops and leather. Stock wheels, swaybar in place, all seats in, spare tire and jack removed but replaced with 33lbs worth of bottle and nitrous, with a TH400 and a 9in. The car weighed in at 3600 with my 140lb butt in it. Also had a half o tank o gas. Last time I was at the track, with the swaybar removed, stock tranny and rear, and no seats, it was 3400 with me in it. Hopefully some draglights will help me pull SOME of the weight that the 9in and TH400 added on.

Kyle

my car will be 3200-3250 after final mods
been weighing the parts out and it all is getting where i want it. Brady might take a look at some boat carpet that stuff is light and looks nice where our factory sound deadened carpet is super heavy

There is a pad under the carpet by the fuel tank hump that weighs alot as well. It is all the little things that add up. I will be doing the electric harness in the car as that is supposed to be a wopping 75 lbs dropped I will only race with one seat in the car as well (corbeau) but my cage does add alot of weight. I just watch what alot of the ls1 guys take out and think if i really need it or not .
I was amazed how much the factory brakes weighed versus the aerospace brakes. (went all the way around with them)
