What AR said is true, but if you pedal the launch and shift normally to second the Nitto DR will hold well after that and it's a decent tire for daily driving good for about 15 to 20k miles.
But if you want to hammer it hard on the launch and power shift second then the stickier DRs are a must. But you'll be replacing them every 4-5k miles. The MT ET Street DR have the best street tread.

What highway are you on? the road traction can also play a factor.

Thanks.

I drive a lot around Orange County and the highways are in pretty good shape. I used to live in Chicago and the roads would get torn up every Winter.

Thanks for all of the input. I'll be looking into a set of DRs very soon. It typically doesn't rain much here in So Cal (always a drought) but it has been raining somewhat the past few weeks.

I don't daily drive mine, but I'm running some 275 MT et streets. So far they are great tires. When I got them they were used and already worn well, I've only added a few hundred miles myself.

If the road is smooth enough I can still spin them just by rolling into the throttle in third, but for the most part they hold ok. We are talking 250-300 ftlbs of tq difference so I'm sure they would work out for you.
