Re: best way to adjust QA1's for drag strip?

Well I went to funday sunday and best pass I could get was a 12.90 @ 114 with a 2.1 60', I either spun or bogged on launch.

If I launched lower than 3000 rpm's it bogged and higher than 3000 it spun. I am ready to swap in a TH350 and a good converter to make the car consistent.

I have yet to get anything lower than a 2.1 60' and I am sick of it!!!!!!!!!

Must have been burning those tires halfway down the track! With some traction could be high elevens given the mph.

Re: best way to adjust QA1's for drag strip?

The car bogged more then anything and when it started moving it was like a freight train, if I launched higher that 3000 rpm's it spun like crazy. I have already destroyed one 10 bolt rear which had 4.10 gears, now I have another 10 bolt with 3.42 gears and I think that the gear and the 28" DR is killing me out of the hole.

I know this is a old post, but yes a 3.42 gear with a 28 inch tire is killing you, that is why you are bogging out of the hole..I would go with 3.73s or a 26 inch tire..I had the same problem 2yrs ago..I now have 3.73s and 26 inch tire and I am getting 1.42 60ft times..
