Post B16 sc civic

It is a 90 civic(old style) it has a supercharged B16 motor. It put down 205fwp, does anyone know what this would run?? Do you think I could take it in my 93 Z28 with cutout, homemade cai, tb bypass and chip. By the way this will be my first time at the strip.

A friend of mine has a 93 civic hatchback that is gutted with no ac,ps,heat, back seats, headliner etc. He has a 2000 si motor which is the b16a2, 160bhp. With intake, header, and exhaust he ran a 14.2 in the quarter with 2.2 60 fts. I'm guessing your friend is running a jackson racing supercharger but I don't know how much boost he's running. I'd say if he's a good driver he should take you in the 1/4 mile.

It will be determined at the line. If you can get off the line, you should take him. His added torque from the Jackson Crapcharger will just make it harder for him to launch. If he gets off the line, his car should be damn quick. My buddies 89 crx with 169 WHP, runs 13.7s @ 100. We calculated for him to run 113, he would need 218 WHP. So his car can mph high. Its just the e.t. you have to worry about in a race.

If he can drive he will win. 205 at the wheels in a 2200-2500 lb car, the power to weight is better than your Z28. If the car is a gutted hatchback and he's on slicks that combo could dip into the 12's.

The car has 211hp and 153ft pounds of torque at the wheels. I saw it take off the other day and am now thinking he will beat me for sure. I would still rather have my z28 then his civic, I guess this means it is time for a cam and headers. hehe

Like another guy said, whoever can get out the hole first should win. Put some Nittos on there and practice a little bit.

Power to weight looks good on paper but if it is running through the front wheels, et doesn't look so good. His mph is flying but get to the line first and when he says how fast he was catching you, just tell him you were backing off and waiting

The power they can make from the oversized motorcycle motors is impressive. Ask him to give you a rough estimate of how much he spent on the swap and turbo. Then take that and put half of that in your Z. I considered putting a 1.8 or 1.6 in my CRX for about 30 minutes one day but I looked at how much it would have cost and decided otherwise. That would have been a waste of time and money.

Stick with the v8/rear wheel drive combo and you will stay sane and cool!
