3 bolt ons and Im in the 11s for under $700

Guys,
Take a look at my sig and tell me if my ETs and mphs sound right to you.My car still has the 2.73 gears stock.I cut a 1.69 60' and run a 7.69 in the 1/8th.My car only has a dynomouth exhaust , K&N whisper lid and the infamous spray that I have spent less than $700 bucks for everything.

They told me that I could not run again without a helmet and roll cage at the local track.I really got the swelled head when they told me not to come back without those items

Let me know what you think.

Ps...I was on street tires

If you did that, congratulations.

1.69 on Street tires... Hmmmmm. Wow. I was only cutting 1.7's with drag radials.

high 11's and 116-119 generally go hand in hand from what I generally see at the track. A friend of mine is running 11.7's in a Z06 Corvette at 118 (with onlu a filter, shifter, and drag radials), however his 60 foot times are 1.7's and his 1/8 mph is over 90.....

What you are really saying is that your car is as quick as mine and mph's better at full weight with street tires... Since I have not seen another car come close to that level of performance with those few little mods, and I race two tracks every week and have done so for the past five years...

With calling BS I will comment that I have never seen performance like that out of a car modified as yours, face to face. I'm sure I can find stories on the internet, but I have never seen it on street tires with that type of sixty foot time.

Track prep is everything, I know of some people thats on this board that's cutting 1.7's on street tires.

What type of tire do you have? F1's ?

Won't happen on my track (Track prep that is)

As for the times seems about right with the shot you are using.
Hopefully you are not spraying through shifts, or one day no more shifty.

Congrat's on the run.

Raptor and Hub,

Guys Im sitting here reading this and cant really understand why you call BS on me?
First off I am a well respected member here at CZ28 and would not just post stories for the hell of it.
I run 8.50s on motor and like you hub, I frequent the drag strip (not as much as you) twice per month.I am spraying the equivelant of 150 RWHP through my motor with 2.73 gears!
This is the prime reason I dont spin coming out of the hole.
Yes Im spraying through the shifts and see some guys picking up 1 second on 125 FWHP shot of spray. So why would it be hard to believe if I sprayed 150 to the wheels to pick up a little over a second?
Now if I had 3.73 gears then I would probably be spinning through the 60' on the street tires, but the key word here is 2.73 highway gears.
Hub is too far away to check out my ride , but Raptor I have talked to you many times and am good friends with Indy Chris who knows I wouldnt BS you fellas.Raptor , we are tennatively (sp?) planning to run next wed night at Darlington if you want to come on out and check out the car.I have many people on this site that will vouch for my integrity... Scott9050, Mike92LX, IndyChris and most of the guys in the SE section.
I did not write this to start a flame fest or anything so I respect your oppinions , Im just trying to explain.
Take care.
Mike

Auto or M6?

The 1.6 short times are hard to digest, but not totally out of the question.

With a 2.73 gear, it has to be an auto unless he swapped rear ends with one out of an auto car.

Nice times. What kind of tires are you running exactly? ET Streets can be considered street tires. They are D.O.T. approved.

Hey Mikie,
There is no question that you can pick up over a second with the 125 shot. I do agree though that pulling a 1.69 on the stock goodyears is a little amaizing. Hell, the best I have produced is a 1.61 and that was on ET Drags while pulling the left front about an inch. If you did manage it that would be the best 60' ever reported on street tires by more that a few tenths.

1.6x 60' on street tires..... the best ive personally seen an auto with street tires do was 1.9x. and you shaved 3/10ths off of that?!?! the best i could manage on drag radials was a 1.84!
veery hard to believe, bro.
btw... a 150 shot doesnt mean 150 extra hp to the back wheels.

I have pulled low 1.8 60' times on regular BFGs and have seen a 6 speed pull off a 1.68 on bald GSCs so I think it is believable. Just my .02 cents though.

Good lord, give him a break. It all depends on track prep guys. Haven't you ever seen MM&FF or GMHTP run mid 1.6 60s on GSCs when they have the track prepped to hell and back? He doesn't sound like hes making this stuff up, and I have seen an M6 LS1 with a lid and catback run 11.86 @ 121 on Nittos with a 125 shot. The cars LOVE nitrous. The guy that ran 11.8s sold his kit to another guy with an auto, hes on here as KamaroLs1, and he straight up walked a mustang that is very close to 11.8s. Then again, it was a highway roll-on from 40, but he still waxed him tho. Most of the cam/bolt-on LT1 crowd here would get walked by a stock Ls1 with gas. Its life. When you have heads that flow, what, 50 cfm better @ 500 lift, it happens. But guess what? Put a set of heads that flow 260+ on an LT1 and spray it. Same times or better. Just the way it is.

Jeremy. In my post you will notice it says rwhp. You will also notice it in my signature.

I understand what 150 shot means.I dyno test everything and with the spray the car is putting down 148 avg rwhp more than on motor.

I am 32 years old and have sprayed nitrous to 6 vehicles that I have owned and the LS1 seems to like it more than the others.
We took the tech II and recorded the dyno sessions and my runs at the track and it is saying that my millivolts are ok.

Thanks to all of you guys that back me, because if there is one thing im not ...its a liar.

I have a few friends here in Charlotte that have achieved low 1.7s and have even run 7.50s in the 1/8th mile with heads/cam package also on street tires (A-4)
