1.39 60 footer on the 7.5" rear

A couple months ago the IHRA Pro Am tour came to town. They scraped, gold dusted, and sprayed the first 1/8 mile of the 1/4 mile track.

The first and only pass of the night thanks to the rain was a 10.29 at 129 mph, a little slower than usual.

But, I was excited to see a 1.39 sixty footer on the stock 7.5" rear end!

Pretty sweet.

Cool, I bet its alittle on the light side as well, HUH. I've seen 10 bolts last years in auto cars that run in the 1.5xx area, 6 speed cars are an entirely different story.

Also I see that gears have a big factor on the life of a 10 bolt, my buddy has been through 3 sets of 4.10's in his 6 speed car( broken/ stripped pinion) if you go with the stock 3.42 or even a 3.73 gear the pinion is bigger making it stronger.

My buddy did manage a 1.64 60' in his 4.10 6 speed car but I know that 10 bolt was Crying....

Thanks guys!

Yep, 350 turbo. I do get about 4k stall on the hose spraying off the line. I still use freescan and graph the data. It's hard to say but 4k is about right, but you could talk me into 3800.

It's a 3.73 gear.

It generally runs low 1.40s. I've lost count how many low 10 second passes it's made (seems I can't find the 9s ). I've been racing on it since 2004.

When I was running the 7.5 it held up to many 1.50 60' times even some mid 1.45's. But when I started giving it more at the line I got one 1.39 before it broke. Good job there. I bet it won't be long before singl digit pass.
