Want to run cooler thermostat need PCM values

Want to run cooler thermostat need PCM values
Have a stock 1995 LT1 driveline in a 30's streetrod and want to run a 165 degree thermostat if it's adviseable. If so, what fan temperature values do you recommend for the low and high speed on/off fan speeds for the PCM?
Thanks

Re: Want to run cooler thermostat need PCM values
OK found a thread on another forum where Shoebox reported that his fans are set around 190° for low and 200° for high and with the 160° thermostat, they hardly ever even need to come on.
He also mentions using the Hypertech 1008 thermostat
Question: Does the 1008 thermostat have a vent hole, if not, would drilling one serve any benefit?
Thanks

Re: Want to run cooler thermostat need PCM values
The Hypertech t'stat - 160*F - is designed specifically to work with the LT1's "reverse flow" cooling system. There is no need to modify it. I've had that t'stat in my LT1 for 20 years, and have never had a problem with bleeding the system or overheating.
Set the fan off temps for 5*F lower than the fan on temp.

I haven't used the stock PCM in 15 years. But I think there are tables called "fan hysteresis" that allow you to program fan off (delta) temps for high and low MPH.
