Tunercat/Datamaster question
I don't get on here much anymore, so if the question is one that has been hashed over a thousand times, please don't yell to loud at me lol
Has any one run those two programs on a Windows 7 machine? Also wondering if the driver for the USB box from Andrew works with Win7.
thanks

I run TunerCATS (v 2.25) on an ACER Extensa lap top under Win7 (32bit) and have had no problems. BUT when I run Freescan it sometimes stops logging fresh data (about 20% of the time) which makes me worry everytime I use TunerCATS. I haven't been able to fix it so I haven't wanted to spend another $100 or so on Datamaster. I'd like to use Datamaster because having an M6, I think my PCM has inputs for A4 sensors that I could use to log fuel pressure, oil pressure and capture a 2bar MAP sensor output.

Re: Tunercat/Datamaster question
I run TC and DataMaster on a Vista machine with no problems, but was thinking of upgrading to a new laptop. Just wondering if those two will work with Win7.
Thanks for the response..

The ACER originally had Vista os and WinCATS ran with no problems on that but ~50% of the time Freescan would log "stale" data. When I changed the os to Win7 (32) the logging improved to ~80% successful. If your programs work under Vista the conventional wisdom is they will work under Win7. BTW, I'm using Win7 (32) home premium.

Re: Tunercat/Datamaster question
Windows 7 Professional here.
I installed Tunercat and Datamaster exactly per instructions on the website and log/flash/read with no problems.
Setting the .EXE files to "compatability mode"(right click, select mode) before doing the install is essential.
I installed the same .EXE files on my home PC with Windows XP Pro without doing anything special and use that to read data, modify tables as well.

Re: Tunercat/Datamaster question
I have run Datamaster to log 3 or 4 15-30 minute drives on my 94 (ODB1) Camaro. I am using an Asus laptop running windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I have the sampling rate set at the highest setting and have had no issues at all. It's a pretty fast laptop though (G73JH).
