Suggestion on ecm tune
I have a 1996 LT1. This was my first car and over time I have bought parts to make it a extreme h.p. play toy. The engine is in the process of being rebuilt right now and includes eagle rotating assembly with -24cc pistons and bored 30 over, trick flow 62cc heads (putting compression at 8.5 to 1), bbk t/b, cometic mls head gaskets, precision 76mm turbo kit, siemens low imp 80 lb injectors, aeromotive steal fuel pump 255, custom grind comp cam (don't have specs in front of me right now), comp 1.6 rockers, and as of now the factory obd2 computer. I need to get enough of a tune done on the computer to be able to drive the car so I can check for leaks and etc. I eventually plan on a fast system, however not at this time. Can someone suggest a place that can help me get this car tuned and on the road? Computers and tuning are by far not my strong point. Honestly I don't know **** about them at all. I have talked to 12 different places across the country and none of them would touch a turbo lt1 set up. Is there something I missed before I started this project? Any replies and suggestions in English would be much appreciated. Incase it matters this is a play toy that I will ride on the street. I don't plan on drag racing right now (unless a Honda or some other piece pulls up beside me). Thanks ahead of time for the help.

Re: Suggestion on ecm tune
First thanks for the info. I am in the US, Alabama to be exact. Alot of people try to make things more technical sounding than they need to be is why I put the "in English" part. On converting to OBD1, is the engine harness different than the OBD2 set up? What is involved in a conversion? Just a different ECM? Again thanks for your help.

Have you tried MadZ28 , here's a similar thread Best option for tuneability on turbo LT1 . Converting to OBD1 involves installing an OBD1 PCM (part #16188051) , and changing the knock sensor to a '94-95 sensor. Of course you will need a '95 tune (.bin file) if A4 or a 94-95 tune if M6. Use same harness , just leave the CPS connector disconnected. If you read about 'resistor mod' in some conversions. They add a resistor to the OBD1 PCM so you do not have to change the knock sensor. Allows swapping PCM's back and forth for inspection w/o having to change the KS to match PCM.
