It's the same as for a 94.

Re: Scan9495: Free OBD1 scan app for 93/94/95 LT1

Hi Gary,

I wanted to say thank you for this software. After years of using my Snap-on MT2500 scanner I finally down loaded and used your software this weekend. I used a USB/ALDL-Y interface cable from CATS, using a current driver from their website.

The only issue I ran into was using an outdated version of Internet Explorer to access the media fire files. Switching over to Mozilla Firefox allowed access without issue.

Thanks again!

I also have a 25+ page writeup ( .pdf ) that will help you decipher the data, but it will be better if you can post the data log.
Hi Injuneer.2 questions please.
1.Is the 25+page write up still available?
2.Would a furniture salesman like myself know how to decipher or even know what I was looking at?
Many thanks.

ok scanned back but couldn't find out. Will this program work on Windows 10? Also new to the car computer age. Is this program had to figure out installing and recording wise?

Other members seem to have no problem with windows ten but I did.You have to have windows office or apache (previous power point I think) to make the scan work.I have a dedicated mule laptop with windows 7 and office and the scan works great.I'm still trying to program my vcr.Just kidding.Hope this helps. Then, once I gather the info,I have to have some neighborhood kids or my brother in law to send it here for evaluation. The 939495 GaryDoug scan sticky is a great read and will help windows 10 users and is great info.Hope this helps.

Absolutely not true. You don't need anything to run a scan and record it. To view the log file, all you need is an ordinary text file reader like Wordpad or Notepad. Most people can benefit from using a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Apache Calc to put the data into columns, but they are not necessary.

I have 4 pc's, 2 desktops, 1 laptop, and 1 tablet/convertible, all with Windows 10, and they all run Scan9495 with no issues. Sometimes when you upgrade to Windows 10, Microsoft likes to make you more "secure" by changing your security settings to more strict ones and that can stop some apps from running, especially one that are not commercially well known.

It only works for the 93-95 LT1 engines. Another version works only for the 94-95 L32 (V6) engines.

Re: Scan9495: Free OBD1 scan app for 93/94/95 LT1

This cable will work if you have the 16-pin connector (you should if it is 95).
OBD Diagnostics, Inc. - OBD2 All-In-One Scan Tool w/ USB

Sxcan9495 only does diagnostics, no tuning or programming. Some choices: free TunerPro RT (with $20 WinFlash) or free EEHack. Both are somewhat difficult to use in my opinion but I don't really do any tuning. Then there are some more expensive ones, but I am not familiar with them.

Re: Scan9495: Free OBD1 scan app for 93/94/95 LT1

Can someone send me the link to the most up to date Scan9495 program? I have a 1995 Chevy Impala (5.7 LT1). I ordered the 12 pin cable from OBD Diagnostics, Inc. - OBD2 All-In-One Scan Tool w/ USB yesterday. Any help is much appreciated.
