Heads/Cam Timing HELP PLZ

Hey guys its a z28 with trick flow heads and comp cam 465. Im having trouble with it under load. I have already advance the timing as much as 8-10 degrees over stock across the whole table. It like boggs/surges when I give it more throttle it does it from a dead stop and i punch it as well as if im crusing and i give it more (to pass some one). It idles perfect fyi. It also does it around 1800 rpms when im leaving a light with normal accelecration.
If you wanna see my timing tables let me know and I will atttach it.
Thanks alot guys

Re: Heads/Cam Timing HELP PLZ

Save us all a lot of time. Post the tune and a data log with plenty of parts where the car is acting up.

Re: Heads/Cam Timing HELP PLZ

Agree with above.. IMO 8-10 degrees across the table could be giving to much timing when not needed, depending on your setup you can maybe use around 8 or so at lower MAP cells but that much is not needed at high MAP end of table. What are your mods ?? is TB stock, injectors, MAS ?? Has closed TB timing been tuned for the cam, also is TB stop and IAC air balanced. A Data log would answer all these questions.. Bogging sometimes indicates idle/low end fueling, map, running has a problem and shows when transitioning engine to high end.

Re: Heads/Cam Timing HELP PLZ

yea I think I have too much i will try and lower it some time today.
My mods are CAI, 58MM TB, Stock Ehuast no cat, Edelbrock Intake Manifold, TrickFlow 195cc heads,CC 465, stock injectors and thats it. I am running it in speed density mode right now as I am goign to log the car and run it thru VEMaster. My long term BLMs get to like 145-150 when the surge/bogg happens and the short terms stay around 130. I have tuned for Closed TB timing CC said I should be at 32-34 degrees at idle for closed TB.
If you message me your email I can send you my tune file and when i log it ill send that to you too, if its easier for you. Once again thanks
