Starting a poject need help with lay out
Ok i have a 1979 Z28 camaro that i am modifying. This is what i am planning to do with it but i need help with what eqipment to go with to make this work... I want it to be a 350 small block stroke out to a 383, with a 6/71 or 8/71 blower or what you would perfer. I want a 700R4 tran. with 456 rearend gears, and also i am only doing a miny tub not a full. My over goal is to have a hell of a prostreet car that run on cam 2 or pump. I also thought about useing a 3500 stall converter. i am going to put a trans lock in the tran. Using those guide lines i want to poduce the most amount of power out of the chevy small that i can. What i have done is i got the body restored and painted. I have a fiber glass front clip and hood. There is a 12 point roll cage and sub frame conectors on the car now. i thought about buying a rear end from the camaro magizine that is a coil spring rear end built to handle the power.. Money is not the object because i am a veit and i just got back from over seas.... so if you guys have any idea either about the internals of the engine or any thing please help. So my question is WHAT SET UP WOULD YOU RUN, AND WHAT NAME BRANDS WOULD YOU USE. Thanks guys

Engine:
383 forged rotating assy.... Around 7.5-8.5 compression.
Mowtown 220 heads
Stiff solid roller cam to match (cam companies will give a better recomendation then me)
8-71 with dual holley 650 supercharger carbs
MSD 6-BTM
Built 4L60E tranny. It has better control over shifts and line pressure, while keeping the overdrive and lockup. A torque convertor to match cam. Summit carries the harness for it I think.
4-link rear subframe..... the coil spring kits are good all around systems, but are much better for pro-touring then pro street.
If you give more info about use, it will be easier to be more specific..... And good luck on it, my z28 has costed me 13k since I got back from Iraq myself.
