Just bought a '69 Firebird, best 1st gen forum?

I've owned a '92 GTA for 9 years now and I just bought a 1969 Firebird, kinda my dream car.

What is the best 1st gen web forum out there that covers anything and everything? I guess the 1st gen equal of Thirdgen.org?

Thanks!!!

EDIT: BTW, I mean no disrespect to this forum at all, as you can see I've been a member here (lurking & learning) for more than 8 years. I just get the feel it's more of a 4th gen forum.

Well, unlike the 3rd and 4th gens, the 1st and 2nd gens don't share nearly as much in common. If you want help with your Firebird, you will find lots of info at classicalpontiac.com.

Whats the car like? Do you have any plans for it?

Thanks, I'll check it out.

It's 64,xxx original miles, 400ci rebuilt 300 miles ago. 1971 Ram Air IV heads, black interior, Trans Am rear deck lid and wing, Trans Am fender vents, etc.

The drivetrain and suspension/brake are all just restored. The interior is great thanks to the mileage. The body has been restored and she sits in grey primar right now until I track down a metal Trans Am hood. Then she'll be black/black with dark grey ghost stripes, 17" Cragar SS rims, you get the idea.

Also check out-forums.performanceyears.com/forums/ and www.pontiaczone.com/forum/. Both have alot of info as well as the above mentioned classical pontiac. BTW- RaIV heads were 69-70 look on the exhaust ports for either 722 or 614, they would be a "round port exhaust" head (edelbrock makes an upgraded copy in aluminum as well, plus others out there). If it does not have those numbers look to see which one it is, you can find all the codes online.

I know your car is a Firebird, ...but check out http://www.camaros.net/forums/ , ...it's a great first gen Camaro (Fbody) site.
Also, ...depending on your plans, ...you may want to check out www.pro-touring.com

...another Camaro site, ...but for restoration references www.camaros.org (Camaro Research Group - CRG)
