I can borrow a digicam but it has no way to upload onto a computer. Only uploads stills . I think you need a video card that will do "video in"

Sorry to stray off topic, but I saw the 2nd Gen in the thread name and just have to ask you guys if maybe you could visit my recent thread and provide some advice for me?!

New 2nd Genner needs help!

Thanks in advance.

Also, Digital Camcorders are pretty cheap these days, and if you need a video card, I'd suggest the Pinnacle DV studio. Its really cheap (under $200) and comes with the card and editing software. It's geared toward beginners, so might be something worth investing in.

If not...I run some more advanced software myself, and might be able to lend you some help in that department.

The camera I can borrow is a digital video camera.... dunno about you but $1300 isnt cheap to me . I just cant get it to upload videos to the computer, just stills. Assume I need a video-in card.

Well, by cheap, I meant a nice one can be had here in the states for $500-$700 easy.

And, as far is video in, again...I'd suggest the Pinnavle DV Studio (I think DV 7 is the newest) which has the video-in card as well as the software to capture and edit.
