help with motor!
Hi,
I have an original 1969 pace car convertible that I bought in 1976. I decided to have the motor gone through and my mechanic told me it is NOT the original motor. I called the man I bought it from in 1976 and he said he replaced the motor in the early 70's. What a shock to me. My question is, I have a lead on the original motor but will be very hard if not impossible to locate.
If you were me, what would you do, put a crate motor in, rebuild the one that's in it or ???? Please , any help would be appreciated! Nick

Re: help with motor!
The motor is not original so you can do whatever you wanted at this point. I would look at crate motors because even the best motor from the 70's sucked. Something with vortec heads make nice drivers. Plus less oil leaks
