350 block help?

I'm restoring my 1970 z28, I've started rebuilding the early 70's 350 that i have. After i removed the crank and bearings i noticed that somebody had punched one or two dots by where the crank bolts down on several different areas. I bought a stock bore bearing kit before tearing the motor down and now i'm kind of worried that the dots might mean that the block might require an over sized bearing?
I have some pictures to show you guys so you can see what it looks like. I'm kind of new to the site and don't know how to post them. If you could tell me how to i can post them asap. Thank you for an help

Re: 350 block help?

It's not unusual for builders to mark the main bearing caps to indicate where to re-install them. Front to back one dot, two dots three dots, etc. If it has over size bearings it should be stamped with numbers. +10, +20.
