wats up everyone i need some help i have a 2000 3.8 liter camaro

i wanted to turbo but i love the v8 muscle so i was wondering if a 350 crate engine would fit in the 00

i know it sounds dum cuz i think the lt1 is the 350 for those years but i just wanna see wat else i could do as far as engine swaps.

let me know wat u guys think or give me some ideas as to wat to swap to

The V8 found in 1998-2002 Camaros is the LS1, which is 346 cubic inches. Putting in an LT1 would be more trouble than it is likely worth.

The cheapest, easiest, most reliable way to turn your V6 Camaro into a V8 Camaro is to sell yours and buy one that already has a V8, but if you want to do the work and spend the money, you have lots of options. You could buy a crate LS1 from GM, or you could buy any other LS motor (LS2, LS3, LS7, LSA, or LS9 -- that's 400, 430, 500, 550, and 640 horsepower, respectively). You could build a custom LS motor, or have a pro do it for you.

There are literally dozens of options. Give us an idea of how much money you want to spend, and what you want to do with the car afterward (drag race? daily driver? etc), and we can give you better advice.

It all depends on your budget, buddy! A good friend of mine just managed to swap a 468 into his '95 Camaro RS, but for the price he could have almost been better off just buying a factory v8 car and built it. Personally, I would look into building an LSX motor, as the options are limitless and the fit pretty good in what little space the Camaro has to spare. What's your intent with this build, what are you looking to build it for?
